We require a New Business Development Officer to assist the New Business Manager in cultivating and recruiting new National Corporate Partners for the charity. You will join the busy and friendly Corporate Fundraising Team in London.
Our New Business Team has secured some amazing corporate partnerships and we have exciting and ambitious plans to develop more.
The successful applicant will research, cultivate and develop new relationships with corporate partners, monitor charitable activity and be involved in all aspects of the application process. This includes submitting tailored applications to organisations; attending external meetings and putting together presentations as part of the pitch process. You will be proactive in your approaches, cultivating relationships with warm leads as well as cold contacts.
The post would suit someone interested in corporate fundraising and who has the initiative and drive to work on their own as well as part of a team. The successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to think in a creative and innovative way. The ability to work under pressure and within tight timelines is essential.
You will be an excellent communicator, with sound IT and database skills and be able to apply these effectively as well as demonstrating competence in using Microsoft packages.
Previous corporate fundraising experience is desirable but not essential. The applicant should have good commercial awareness of organisations and their structures. Sales experience would be an advantage as the successful applicant will be confident in communicating at all levels within an organisation.
Interviews will be week commencing the 12th April 2010
