About the role

This is an innovative and fast-growing charity that trains and pays prison inmates to do professional tapestry and quilting. The work makes a great difference to the rehabilitation prospects of prisoners. Fine Cell Work now has an international reputation and the charity employs 340 inmates in 27 prisons. The Times has described their products as "exquisitely beautiful.”

FCW has an ambitious expansion plan that depends on growing its sales of goods made by trained prisoners working with and for the charity in increased numbers. It is thus seeking to introduce systems, procedures and work methods which will allow it to increase the prisoners it works with, manage greater production flows and continue to obtain very healthy and sustainable growth in the coming years. It also wishes to build the management capacity of the organisation to ensure its sustainability and future growth
